Situated on the Garden Route, Nature’s Valley is known for its singular beauty and unspoilt character. The beach stretches from the mouth of the Groot River to the mouth of the Salt River. It is also the final destination for the five-day Otter Trail.
This secluded location is wonderful for fishing—try rock and surf, or fly fishing on the lagoon.
Our cottage is within 50m walk of this magnificent beach. Welcome to paradise!

‘Sunbirds’ is one of the original fisherman’s cottages that was built soon after Nature’s Valley became a village under the control of Plettenberg Bay in the 1950s. You will cherish its old-world charm with a cosy, lived-in feeling—it’s been in the family for generations.
The cottage owes its name to the colourful winged creatures that frequent its beautiful garden. You are likely to meet them too.
